Our Food

Our Food is cooked with care by our enthusiastic team in an open-plan kitchen. We believe in creating food that is fresh, healthy and above all tasty, presented with a touch of restaurant flair.

In the day we take a down-t
o-earth and dedicated approach to bring you a diverse and ever-changing range of fresh, seasonal and tasty snacks and meals, carefully prepared and served promptly at very good value. We do not use a microwave.

In the evening we change attire and style to bring you world-flavoured Fusion dining. We tailor make and deliver an endless choice of menus, from 3 courses to canapés, influenced by what is local and in season.

Our culinary influences are diverse, fusing local produce with worldwide styles and flavours, bringing you specials and
other dishes that you wont see anywhere else.

We cater for take-away customers, from drop in purchases off the menu to great value bulk orders, from sandwiches to stews and curries, or savoury items off the menu such as quiches pasties soups and salads. Order at least 2 days in advance for orders over 10 people.

We have the availability of a private room for hire for closed door half or full day meetings and seminars of up to 15 delegates, and corporate training away days with the expert tuition of the Academy of Maker's  master craftspeople (please contact The Academy of Makers for this service).
The room hire for meeting use, maximum 15 people, is £15 per hour, for a minimum of 2 hours,
£50 for a half day and £90 for the full day.

We can offer breakfast seminar slots in the cafe from 8am-10am with no extra charges (minimum 10 persons with breakfasts) and, subject to availability, evening sit-down or canape events with exclusive cafe use and BYO (for groups of over 30).

Fusion's food-philosophy and style

At Fusion we believe in creating food that is fresh, healthy, and above all, tasty!
We passionately stand by our promise to make almost everything in-house (exceptions include ketchup and jam, and even that may change!), which helps us deliver a product that is unique, fresh and of high quality, as well as being Organically grown, largely locally sourced and exceptionally good value.
Our culinary influences are diverse, fusing local produce with worldwide styles and flavours, bringing you specials and other dishes that you wont see any where else.
In the day we take a down-to-earth and dedicated approach to bring you a diverse and ever-growing and changing range of fresh tasty snacks and meals, carefully prepared and served promptly, at very good value.
In the evening we change attire and style to bring you world-flavoured Fusion dining, currently with a BYO policy. We tailor make and deliver an endless choice of menus, from 3 courses to canapés, influenced by what is local and in season.

Our Produce and ethics

Our sourcing aims to cut out any unnecessary food miles, 'middle men' and unsustainable agricultural processes.
We actively seek to support local, small scale artisan producers and
growers who employ Organic and Biodynamic growing and producing
techniques, and by supporting us we an further the following benefits:
  • The benefits are first and foremost to you, as these are better value and higher quality products.
  • The farmers or producers and their community  and employees get a boost.
  • The surrounding environment is conserved and regenerated due to sustainable practices.
  • There’s a lower carbon footprint as there’s less food miles and reduced packaging.
  • By supporting these small scale enterprises we help maintain the diversity and continuity of artisan techniques and methods.
We will also source produce from select local producers and direct trade importers that are not certified Organic but which have chemical free sustainable practices which satisfy our ethics and principals.

Our star product is our exclusive coffee, Biodynamically produced and
directly traded from Brazil. It is a single origin 100% arabica bean of
very high quality, with a round smooth chocolaty flavour and a very nice
kick to wake up your day!
When available our lamb and sometimes pork, comes from our very own farm at Eyam. Our chicken is local and free range, from Pogg Lane produce.
Most of our seasonal vegetables come from the North East, our fish is
sustainably fished off the North East, Scottish and Cornish coasts and our dry products come from Lembas, Sheffield's local whole foods co-operative.
